Home

We made it home!
The flight was long, of course! Cole slept in the bassinet the first 7 hours which was amazing but the next 7 hours were somewhat rough. Then a quick flight to St Louis and we were reunited with Lucy and Nate and greeted by dear friends and of course Grandma and Grandpa! Thanks to the Younces for these great pictures of our happy reunion.
Nate was not too interested in Cole but Lucy was so sweet and loving on him. He just kept staring at her! He cried in the car seat most of the way home but we did manage a few smiles, too. He has been asleep all day so far! Jet lag suggestions, anyone?
I'll have to blog soon about our last 24 hours in India - lots of unexpected events!

Thanks again for all the prayers. Our God is so good and gracious to us and we felt His protection and provision every step of the way.

I love the pics! Cole looks right at home with your kiddos :) Doesn't it feel good to get off that plane - wow!

We tried to get up when the sun was out and take naps when we felt tired. It took about a week but we got pretty adjusted. We basically just let Simeon sleep whenever he wanted and he eventually got on the US schedule. We did have several 2 AM awakenings for a few nights. I would just give it a few days to see what Cole does sleep wise. Tami might have some other advice if it is a problem.

A picture truly does speak a thousand words & the last one, in particular, says it all! I'd say the bonding has begun :) for ALL of you. Sweet, dear Lucy & silly, fun Nate...what a wonderful world for Cole AND for Lucy & Nate. Welcome home, my dear ones. Love you all & COMING SOON! Nan

Congratulations, Lucy and Nate! You got to meet your new baby brother at last. :o)

You look wonderful -- all five of you on the same continent at the same time! Hope Cole's schedule rights itself . . . we had a few days of painfully early wake-ups (3:30, 4:00 a.m.) but then Anya Rashi started to figure our our time zone.

Congratulations to you all! Can't wait to hear the last 24 hours of your adventures.

Today is Cole's first birthday...what a loving gift his parents gave when they placed him to be adopted. God is so gracious & only He could have known the family He chose for that sweet little boy. I give thanks & praise. Happy birthday, Cole! I love you, Nan
